S’ a universe without end, which is constantly increasing in space-time

S’ an ordinary galaxy made up of millions of planets

An otherworldly existence is created

Life is a different phenomenon, which is rare

Because life is a star of hopes, a presence that contemplates space and travels unbound in the vastness of existence

Every great obstacle is something superficial, p’ a star that is late in its setting

Every happiness is something essential, a star came to shine

But in every unhappy moment, history changes, man transcends meaning, this feeling is the paradise that the human soul seeks

Hell it seems, but heaven is this miserable earth, even depressing, unfair, disparaging

But where is bliss really??

In a cell of happiness or in a life of freedom?

  1. George Pournaris

"I don't hope for anything, I'm not afraid of anything, I'm a letterer" . Kazantzakis' words are food for thought and reflection with the meaning that everyone gives based on their experiences, I want them too ” believe” of. In another part of the Odyssey, Megalarmenos mentions ( Odysseus) : ” man's greatest ego counts debt , the fate of the merciless to fight and the destiny to be extinguished ``how can a mortal and a god overcome him for you” . Therefore, in a sense, free can be the one who does not give up and strives for the best either for himself or for those around him . One can say that him “paradise” everyone makes it for him as he thinks and can given the conditions and difficulties he faces.

  2. "Bliss is a pleasant state of mind resulting from the activity of the soul, since this activity is in accordance with perfect virtue" according to Aristotle

  3. I completely agree with your identification of paradise and bliss with the existence of freedom. Freedom: that's exactly the situation, where people themselves imagine (and many times they do) what their perfect day looks like. The opposite (and common in our time) it is the unconditional surrender of the dominance of their imagination and thought in everyday life, to the problems, in setbacks, in the society that dictates to them what to do and how to live. Ultimately the concept of freedom is as unique as every human being on earth is unique. Freedom is the necessary condition for everyone's paradise

    1. Of course, freedom is limited by “incarceration” in everyday conventionality, where due to the increased workload, time is scarce and energy is non-existent, so there is no concept of personal expression, therefore also forming a point of view, for many unfortunately. But I think that survival in a system that exhausts the worker is not real hell, in a society that places strict limits on expression, but living with an authoritarian regime. The concept of personal is completely lost there, political and economic freedom, where even thought is condemned, characteristic environment the regime described in Orwell's book, 1984.
